MEET THE JEWELRY MAKER TURNED GRAPHIC DESIGNER
It’s nice to meet you. I’m Tenia, a jewelry maker turned graphic designer with a deep love for creativity. Whether it’s crafting jewelry, designing clothing, decorating spaces, or creating visual designs, I’ve always enjoyed turning ideas into something beautiful and meaningful.
Today, I’m the proud founder of Medium Ink & Company, a boutique design studio dedicated to helping entrepreneurs and organizations create authentic, professional online presences.
Interestingly enough, this path wasn’t something I originally planned.
My creative journey began in jewelry design, where I spent years creating handcrafted pieces. In December 2020, while building my own website to showcase my jewelry, I discovered something unexpected. I developed a deep love for website design and digital branding.
What started as curiosity quickly turned into a calling. As I continued learning and refining my skills, people began reaching out for help with their own websites and branding. Before long, what began as a passion project grew into the business I run today.
If someone had told me years ago that I would fall in love with design in this way, I probably would have laughed. But as Proverbs 16:9 says, “A person’s heart plans their way, but the Lord directs their steps.” Looking back, I can clearly see that God was guiding me toward something greater than I had imagined.
And no, I did not attend a traditional design school. Unless we count YouTube as an accredited university, which admittedly played a big role in my learning. Like many creatives, I have spent countless hours studying, practicing, and refining my craft.
In 2022, I had the honor of being nominated for a feature in Memphis Voyager Magazine, and in 2023 I was also featured in Canvas Rebel Magazine and Bold Journey Magazine. Seeing my work and story shared in these publications was a deeply humbling moment and a reminder that with faith, persistence, and dedication, incredible things are possible.
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to excellence, creativity, and helping others bring their vision to life.
Before discovering my love for digital design, jewelry design was a meaningful chapter of my creative journey. Below are a few pieces from my former collection, a reminder of where my creative story began. While I am not currently designing jewelry, it will always hold a special place in my heart, and perhaps one day I will return to it.
